Want to hit bullseye for a good cause?! Beacon is looking for players for its mammoth 24-hour darts marathon at Brewers Fayre Stourbridge on Friday June 7 from 8pm till 8pm the next day. The charity is asking for players to step up to the oche and help raise vital funds for visually impaired people across the Black Country and Staffordshire.

Beacon Fundraiser, Josh Sandhu, explained: “We wanted to create a fun event for people of all abilities to take part in and enjoy without breaking a sweat. Players can play for as long or as little as they want and we welcome players of all levels. To host a darts marathon for 24-hours is going to be a challenge, but I am sure the local community will get behind us and help us succeed.”

The Brewers Fayre, on Birmingham Street, Stourbridge will be hosting the event for Beacon and providing free food for the late-night players. Friends and family are also welcome to join and cheer on players.

Beacon CEO, Lisa Cowley, added: “Beacon help people living with sight loss lead full, active and independent lives. The funds raised at this event will help support our charity and the services we offer such as inclusive sports, days out for our customers and making sure IT is accessible for all – just £30 could provide an hour of IT training to help a person with sight loss live more independently. This is a great, really fun way to help us and support your local pub!”
