Donations

Your donations are very much appreciated and help us support those who continue to be most vulnerable to Coronavirus.

Please can you bring any donations into our shops when they are open. We need to know that items have come from a Covid-19 symptom free home and items left outside our stores also cause a hazard to our members with sight loss, our team and members of the public.

We also ask that if you have items such as toys, books or bric-a-brac then you box them up before bringing them in as it would really help us to store them.

We’ve got a few other restrictions in place at the moment though to help ensure the safety of both our customers and staff.

We’ve compiled this checklist to help you understand what items we are able to accept at the moment and how best to donate to us. Don’t forget if you are able please Gift Aid your donation as it will increase the value of your donation by 25 per cent and won’t cost you anything extra.

Before making a donation we ask if you could please call our stores to check if they are able to accept them due to storage issues.

Are the items in a good condition with no tears or permanent stains?

Please note, we can only take bric-a-brac items, toys and books if they are boxed up and not in black bags.

Furniture

Is it ripped, stained or damaged in any way?

Does it have the correct fire label?

Is it something you would buy?

We can collect donations of furniture please call 01902 880 111 to arrange.

To reduce contact during our collections we ask where possible for people to leave the items outside their property and the driver will call prior to the collection.

Are we open?

Only our Sedgley, Penkridge and Wolverhampton Clearance Centre shops are open and able to accept donations at the moment. Wherever possible we’re asking people to donate via our Clearance Centre on Lower Walsall Street, as we have much more room to store things there. We can only accept donations in person when the shops are open, anything left outside will unfortunately have to be thrown away. If you want to donate to our Penkridge store please call in advance as storage is extremely limited.

Can you leave your details?

When you bring your donations into store we’ll need to ask you to leave your details to confirm that neither you or anyone you live with has had any COVID-19 symptoms in the past 14 days and that the items are in a good condition. Unfortunately if they are not something we can sell on we may need to return them to you.
