The group are regular supporters of the leading sight loss charity and their latest campaign has seen them collect unwanted foreign coins.

The money was handed over by Halesowen and Rowley Regis Rotary Club President Brian Stokes and club assistant secretary Sue Hannaford said: “We like to support the Beacon Centre wherever we can as it is one of a number of good causes that we support. We are happy to be of help to the charity.”

Beacon Centre information officer Pete Moodie said: “It’s not just cash donations we welcome, Beacon can also take items which can be recycled such as old stamps or mobile phones. We’d like to thank the rotary club for their very kind donation and wish all its members a very happy Christmas.”
