Friendship, conversation and support

Everyone needs someone to talk to sometimes

We can all feel lonely at times in our life, Beacon’s befriending service offers people the chance to benefit from regular conversation which can help brighten their day.

More than 150 people a week receive a telephone call or home visit from one of our befriending volunteers as part of our free service.

If you would like to sign up to meet a Beacon befriender call us on:

Could you change someone’s life through a phone call?

Our befriending service wouldn’t be able to run without our incredible volunteers who give their time to make a difference.

It’s a flexible role that can work around you, we just need you to commit to making a regular call to someone in need of a chat.
