For almost 150 years we have supported thousands of visually impaired people and their families adapt to sight loss and live as independently as practicable within their homes and communities.

As part of our Ambition 2025 strategy we are embarked upon a substantial transformation of our services, with significant opportunities to enhance and expand our reach to meet the ever-growing demand for sight loss support.

Our operational services include site-based support at Sedgley and Stourbridge, including independent life skills, IT & digital device training, low vision assessments and support, coupled across the Black Country and Staffordshire with supported employment programmes, community based activity and sports initiatives, and mobile sight loss advice.

Our current innovations include the development of digital design and fabrication facilities to provide up to date skills and training for visually impaired, collaborations with Universities and technology developers on Virtual Reality devices and accessible connected autonomous vehicles and a future network of dispersed service provision.
