Care Assistant

£8.49 Per Hour (37.5 Hours Per Week)
Full Time Basis

Beacon Centre for the Blind is the oldest and largest Visual Impairment charity within the West Midlands. At Beacon Domiciliary care, we provide support to adults with personal care, to enable them to live independently in their own home for as long as possible.

We are currently looking to recruit care assistants within the community on a full time basis. It is essential that applicants have a driving licence and access to their own vehicle.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is Flexible
  • Can work full days and alternate weekends
  • Has experience of working with vulnerable adults
  • Is a excellent communicator
  • Is empathetic, patient and has a caring nature
  • A qualification within the health and social care industry is desirable. All successful candidates will be required to undertake a DBS check, have a full driving licence and access to their own vehicle. Personal or paid experience in home care will be a distinct advantage.

Health and Wellbeing Assistant 

£7.83 per hour (18 hours per week)
Part-time, permanent

We are currently looking for a part time Health and Wellbeing Assistant for our Stourbridge Day Centre.

The ideal candidate will work as a team with another assistant to deliver care for Beacon clients to enable their safety and independence as far as possible. Please refer to the job description for further details.

All successful candidates will be required to undertake a DBS check, have a full driving licence and access to their own vehicle. The post holder may also be required to do some evening work.
