Low Vision Technical Sales Advisor

£8.50 per hour

22.5 hours per week 

Working 3 days per week over Monday to Saturday

Based in Sedgley but some travel within Black Country and Staffordshire will be required.

This new role will form part of the Vision Advice Team to research, develop and administer Beacons equipment and advice service for people with a visual impairment, to assist and aid them in their daily lives.

The successful candidate will work from the implementation stages of this new project, right through to successful delivery of a target driven sales role and ongoing engagement with stakeholders.  A good standard of education is required at least two years sales experience is essential. The successful candidate will be required to undertake a DBS check.

Health and Wellbeing Officer (Sedgley)

£7.98 per hour

Fixed term until 31st May 2019

30 hours per week

We are currently looking for a temporary Health and Wellbeing Officer to work in the Beacon Centre, Sedgley. (There is a possibility of the role becoming temp to perm).

The ideal candidate will work as a part of a team to deliver care for Beacon clients to enable their safety and independence as far as possible. Please refer to the job description and person specification for further details.

All successful candidates will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check and should have proven experience in caring for and supporting vulnerable adults.

Health and Wellbeing Support Assistant

£8.49 per Hour

37.5 Hours per Week

Full Time Basis

Beacon Centre for the Blind is the oldest and largest Visual Impairment charity within the West Midlands. At Beacon Domiciliary care, we provide support to adults with personal care, to enable them to live independently in their own home for as long as possible.

We are currently looking to recruit Health and Wellbeing Support Assistants within the community on a full time basis to deliver this personal care. It is essential that applicants have a driving licence and access to their own vehicle.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is flexible
  • Can work full days and alternate weekends
  • Has experience of working with vulnerable adults
  • Is an excellent communicator
  • Is empathetic, patient and has a caring nature
  • A qualification within the health and social care industry is desirable.

All successful candidates will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check, have a full driving licence and access to their own vehicle. Personal or paid experience in home care will be a distinct advantage.
