Two local law firms are planning to help local charity Beacon with their 2019 Make a Will Week to raise funds for the sight loss community.

Beacon is working with Dunham McCarthy and Wilkes Partnership Solicitors to offer a will-making service in which all fees include a 30% donation to the charity.

Beacon CEO, Lisa Cowley, said: “As a charity we know how important it is to manage your finances. Many of our supporters want to make sure they look after loved ones and others when the unfortunate time comes. We teamed up with Dunham McCarthy and Wilkes Partnership Solicitors so we could offer our supporters the help of two established names who are also kindly donating 30% of their fees to Beacon.”

The charity is offering the service to the public and those that want to support the charity.

Lisa added: “Making a will also your chance to leave a lasting legacy. Anyone making a will can give a gift to Beacon and leave a positive legacy – making a real difference to their community. We would like to thank both law firms for this initiative and helping support those living with a visual impairment.”

Single wills cost £139 and mirror wills (couple) at £199 – with 30% of the fee being donated to Beacon. Dates include,11, 12 and 14 November – between 11am and 2pm. Beacon Centre is located on Wolverhampton Road East, WV4 6AZ, and you don’t need to book in advance. For any questions, contact enquiries@beaconvision.org or call 01902 880111.
