Shop with Beacon and help people with sight loss in your community.
Six of our seven retail stores reopened on April 12, 2021 following the relaxation of Covid-19 guidance.
The safety of our staff, volunteers, customers and donors is our top priority and we will have all necessary precautions in place so that our stores can reopen safely to help raise much needed funds for our charity.
At the end of each working day our shops will be thoroughly cleaned. We’ve put in sight friendly markings around the shops to make social distancing easier, plastic screens will be in place at the tills and the changing rooms will not be in use.
We will be asking all customers to sanitise their hands on entering the shops and there will be a maximum number of people allowed in at any one time so you may have a short wait outside.
While we are happy for shoppers to browse, we please ask for this to be kept to a minimum.
We are also encouraging our shoppers to pay by contactless card whenever possible. If you have any questions you can ring our shops on 01902 880 111 and pressing option two.
We really welcome your donations but we can struggle for storage space at the moment due to an influx of items. As a result we kindly ask if you can ring in advance before making a donation to ensure we have the space to take it unless you are visiting our Clearance Centre where you can drop items off as long as we are open.
If you would like to arrange the collection of furniture ring 01902 880 111 and pressing option two.
To reduce contact during our collections we ask where possible for people to leave the items outside their property and the driver will call prior to the collection.
While good quality donations are so very appreciated we need to ask that people don’t leave any outside our shops when they are closed as we are unable to accept them.
Thank you for shopping with Beacon, the closure of our stores during the last lockdown alone meant our charity missed out on almost £125,000 in income so we’ve never needed your support more.
