Beacon is calling upon golf fans and amateur players to sign up for the Whistle Foundation Golf Day on Friday 26 April at Staffordshire Golf Club to help support those living with a visual impairment.

The Whistle Foundation was recently established by a network of football referees with the aim to support local charities making a difference in the community. The foundation was inspired by Beacons amazing work with the visually impaired people and the difference they have make in the local are.

Greg Rollason, Whistle Foundation Trustee, said: “If you enjoy a good game of golf and want to help raise money for a vital cause at the same time then we want to hear from you. It’s a fantastic course and one of the best in Staffordshire. So dust off your golf clubs and sign up while we still have a few spaces left. You will also be treated to a discussion with ex-Wolves midfielder Steve Daley.”

The day will begin with lunch at 12.30pm followed by heading out for 18 holes of golf at 2pm. After the games, the club house will welcome teams for drinks, dinner and an awards ceremony. The day will end with a talk with former Wolves star Steve Daley.
