Beacon Stourbridge

The Beacon Stourbridge runs a range of services from its base at the Mary Stevens Centre on Hagley Road in Oldswinford (Up the drive from the Mary Stevens Hospice). 

Official open times are between 10am – 4pm on Monday to Friday for advice and information.

Our day activities include social groups, Trips and meals out, coffee mornings and a variety of other activities such as crafts, Exercise supported by staff and volunteers. 

If needed Ring and Ride can be booked by the charity to ensure transport to and from the centre at a cost of £1.30 each way. We also provide low vision support and a resource shop to assist those who are living with sight loss. As well as this we also run a number of social groups for those living with sight loss details can be found below:

Halesowen Blind:

  • Held at our centre in Stourbridge
  • Meets on the 4th Wednesday of the month between 12pm and 2:30pm
  • Transport: Can be Arranged upon request to people that live in Halesowen.

Lighthouse Group:

  • Held at our centre in Stourbridge
  • Third Tuesday of each month – 10am -12pm

Stourbridge Blind:

  • Held at our centre in Stourbridge
  • The second Monday evening in each month – 7pm-9pm. Please Inquire about transport.
  • Open to people that live in Stourbridge.
