The shop closed to customers on Saturday (18) and will undergo its makeover this week before reopening to the public this coming Saturday (25).

The work will include a general refresh, painting, a new layout and complete new stock across the shop.

Beacon Centre’s head of enterprise Tracey Ford said: “We have had a fantastic 10 years at Wednesbury and hope our customers love our new look.

“Once the store reopens we will be delighted to receive any donations of stock from members of the public and we would also be very interested in hearing from anyone who would like to volunteer at the store. Retail experience is not necessary and it’s a great chance to meet new people, even if you only have a couple of hours spare a week.”

If you would like to find out more about the volunteer opportunities available at the shop or elsewhere within the charity call 01902 886 791.
